CORE i9: THE REIGNING KING OF MICROPROCESSOR MANUFACTURERS HAS A NEW FAMILY MEMBER

©Technolabs
The leading PC chipset manufacturer in the world has come with its latest addition to its 'core'-processor family, the core i9. In recent times,  Intel is facing a tough competition from rivals AMD in the pc chipset market with AMD Ryzen 1800x giving a tough battle to  Intel i7 7700k. Amidst this tough competition, launching of core i9 is a good step for Intel.
Basic Specs:

Principally, the core i9 has arrived with 5 different variations.

1. Core i9 Extreme Edition:

Overview:

Intel Core i9 processors are going to be treat for gaming geeks as it is promising a great VR gaming experience. But if you want to install an i9 processor in your desktop , you should make sure first whether your motherboard is compatible with this chipset or not. As Intel has stated, Core i9 is not backward compatible so if anyone to get a this chipset in your PC you will need to install a motherboard also. The i9 uses a 2066 -pin LGA socket, commonly known as 'Socket R4'. Also exiting SL-X architecture and KL-X architecture is not supported with i9. The SL-X has indeed created some revolutionary chnages.  The Last Level Cache or L3 cache gets smaller (1.375 MB per core compared to the 2.5 MB meaurement by the Broadwell-E chip. Intel compensates the decrease by increasing the Mid Level Cache( Read: MLC) or L2 cache. We can expect these changes will certainly increase the overall perfromances.

Along with smooth performances, Intel has also emphasized on lessening the heating of the processor. Using the PCG 2017X heat sink, heating issues, while performing high end video and graphics works or gaming, is supposed to decrease.

Lithography is also parameter you should consider before purchasing a new chipset. But the distance remains the same as of Core i7-7800X and 7820X, i.e., 14nm.

After keeping all these things in mind, this Core i9 processorc should only be recommended to an user only if he is very much involved in high end video or graphics work or user wants to enhance his gaming experiences better than ever. Otherwise buying this processor would be a waste of your hard-earned money.
