TOP 10 UNDER-21 ATTACKING PLAYERS IN FOOTBALL

Football has always produced some astonishing talents. In a game, presently being dominated by two greatest players, there are some new talents who have shown a lot of potential. In this blog, we have picked some of the best young attacking players. Basically, players who play at the left and right wings, or play as attacking midfielders or as strikers have been chosen. Let's check the list.

10. Timo Werner, RB Leipzig, Germany

One of the key members of the wonderful journey of RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga last season and the Confederations Cup winning squad of Germany, Timo Werner is producing best performances as a typical center forward, scoring consistently.

In the previous season he scored 21 goals off 31 games for his club in the League becoming the fourth highest scorer of Bundesliga and also finished the Confed Cup as the joint top scorer for his country in the tournament. And carrying on with the firing form of the last season he is continuously scoring from the beginning of the season with 5 goals off 6 matches and standing as the 3rd highest just after Bundesliga veterans Aubameyang and Lewandowski. Though, he has a bad reputation amongst German fans -- branded a cheat after diving to earn a penalty in a German league win against Schalke 04, which has haunted him since December, but the goal-scoring ability he is showing days after days, we can surely say Germany got a good successor of Miroslav Klose in Timo.

9. Kingsley Coman, F.C. Bayern Munich, France

A production of the Paris Saint Germain's youth system, Coman moved to Juventus in 2014 and then to Bayern Munich on loan next year. And now he has signed to Bayern Munich with a contract valid up to 2020. Having the ability to play in either flanks, Coman is regarded as the one of the best young wingers playing there.

A naturally right-footed player, Coman is technically gifted with his dribbling skills, pace, acceleration, vision and shooting-ability. Playing in the wings, Coman is a threat to any defence in an one-on-one situation. Though Coman is not a regular starter for his team, with Robben and Ribery featuring in both flanks in Munich team, Coman never misses to impress coming as a substitute and is determined to become one of the best players in Bayern as well as in the world in future. This season he has scored 1 goal for Bayern  off his 9 appearances.

8. Christian Pulisic, Borrusia Dortmund, USA

The wonder-kid from Pennsylvania is setting buzz around him.Pulisic came to Dortmund as a 16 years old teenager and since then keeping on improving his gameplay and skills.

Though presently, Pulisic is playing as a winger after the departure of Frenchman Ousmane Dembele to Barcelona, Pulisic is an ideal specimen of a no. 10 of modern day football. He can dribble with high speed, change direction with keeping that pace, provide the final pass and also finish off in style. He has become so renowned that even UEFA has raised a question whether Pulisic is the best young player of this year's UCL or not.

7. Gabriel Jesus, Manchester City, Brazil

One of the best young striker of modern generation, Gabriel Jesus is certainly the next big thing in Brazil after Neymar and Coutinho. Only 20 years old and already a regular starter for both club and country.

For his fabulous ball holding capability, dribbling skills and shooting ability, Brazillian fans are already considering him as the successor of Ronaldo (Brazillian). This season he has already scored 4 goals off 7 league games. Gabriel Jesus is gifted with the classic Barzillian touch of magic and aggression.

6. Kylian Mbappe, Paris SG (loan), France

One of the best things that happened to football in the last season is definitely this Frenchman. One of the main contributor in the AS Monaco's dream journey last season, Mbappe has been phenomenal.

With 15 goals off 29 matches in League 1 and 6 goals off 9 matches in the UEFA Champions League for Monaco, Kylian Mbappe drew a lot of attraction from big clubs like Real Madrid, Paris SG, Arsenal etc. His sensational strike against Manchester City in the Champions League last season is thing to remember forever. Presently he is PSG on loan from Monaco, but he is all set to join Paris permanently next season.

5. Leroy Sane, Manchester City, Germany

Probably the best young player Germany has right now. When a club like Manchester City is investing 37 Million Pounds to sign a 19 years old, then there must be something special about him, right?

Leroy Sane, widely appreciated for his excellent footwork, prefers to play as a winger. Leroy Sane is a treat to watch when it comes to dribbling and one-on-ones. And he is also good in tackling. But because of lack of crossing abilities and inefficiency in aerial duels sometimes, his utility as a winger is often questioned. Comes as a substitute often, yet he has 3 goals and 2 assists this season.

4. Dele Alli, Tottenham Hotspur, England

Only 21 years old and already considered as one of the best midfielders in the world. Dele Alli is a versatile player who can play both as a central midfielder, an attacking midfielder and sometimes also as a second striker. According to Spurs manager Pochettino, "Alli is a striker inside the box and a midfielder outside the box". Last season he scored 18 league goals off 37 games and this season 2 goals off 5 games. Within the age of 21 only, Alli has won two successive PFA Player of the Year awards.

3. Marcus Rashford, Manchester United, England

Anybody surprised to see him here? Marcus Rashford is not much celebrated but actually possesses a lot of potential.  A product of the Manchester United youth academy, Marcus Rashford prefers to play in both flanks as well as a central forward. He scored in all of his debut matches in all types of competitions in senior career for both club and country. In his debut match against Midtjylland inn UEFA Europa League, he scored two goals becoming the youngest English player to score in an European competitio, surpassing a record previously hold by George Best. This season he scored one goal against Basel in his debut match in the Champions League and scored 2 goals off 6 starts in the EPL.

2. Ousmane Dembele, FC Barcelona, France

Without any doubt, Ousmane Dembele is the next biggest thing in European Football. After a year at Borrusia Dortmund full of stellar performances, has now moved to Camp Nou, with a huge transfer fee of 105 Million Euros. Sadly, he is now ruled out of the game due to injury just in the beginning of the season, Dembele has a lot of assets and skills to show. Dembele prefers to play in the left wing. Last season, he was selected in the Bundesliga team of the year and was voted as Bundesliga Rookie of the Season. He has got high pace, great dribbling skills, good passing skills, quick at cut in and counter.

1. Marco Asensio, Real Madrid, Spain

This Spaniard has a habit to do great things in big matches. Being widely regarded as the successor of Cristiano Ronaldo by the club's fans, Marco Asensio created sensation after scoring in all of his debut matches in every tournament for Real Madrid. Single-handedly secured the Spanish Super Cup for Real Madrid finding the net for 3 times with stunning shots in two legs against arch-rival Barcelona! Prefers to play in the left wing, left-footed Asensio can also do well as an attacking midfielder as well as a central forward. He can hold the ball, take free-kicks, is threatening in one-on-one situations and can dribble well with high pace.
